Greenland sharks may live more than 400 years

A team of international researchers published a paper in the journal Science identifying a species of sharks living in the North Atlantic that may live beyond 400 years old. The Greenland sharks may be the longest living vertebrate species to be discovered thus far.

It will be interesting to see if future scientific study of the species will reveal any tricks humans can use to fight off age related degeneration.
